As we embark on this new academic year, I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself; I am Ms. Victoria Lih, proud Principal of Washington Elementary School.  While I am new to WES, I am a longtime educator and administrator in the Roselle Public Schools.  I am thrilled to be here and look forward to an exciting year of growth and learning!

This year, students will be challenged academically, strengthened socially and emotionally, and supported by our dedicated teachers and support staff who create the family environment at Washington Elementary School. I will continue to develop relationships with staff, our parents, guardians, and community members who will aid in creating a safe, fun, and positive culture and climate for our scholars. Know that there are many opportunities for your input and participation in our planned events throughout the year.

Although school does not officially begin until September 7, 2023, I will be hosting a ‘Meet & Greet’ at Washington Elementary School on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 5:00 pm- 7:00 pm.  In this forum, you will receive pertinent information on Genesis/ Canvas, school supply lists (posted online), school uniforms (yellow top/ navy bottom), specific locations for morning arrival and afternoon pickup. Plan to attend and meet me, Ms. Ann Oslin, our Administrative Assistant, our School Counselor, Mr. Robbins, Ms. Pasquarella, our Math Coach and Head Teacher and Ms. Petris, our BSI Teacher and Coordinator of Testing, to name a few.

As we continue to navigate this academic year, it is important that we maintain open lines of communication.
