The KSA had a chance to have some fun with the students and families in November. Spearheaded by KSA teacher, Mrs. Adair, and in conjunction with the REA/FAST organization, we held a Harvest Festival Pumpkin drive-by. Parents and students were asked to do a drive-by pick-up where we provide each student with a pumpkin, a decorating kit, apple-cider donuts, and juice boxes for a family gathering activity. Teachers Kevon Beresford, Jessica Cunnigham, Luz Gonzales, showed off their carving skills and created some great pumpkin displays that were part of the Harvest scenery as the parents drove through the parking lot. The staff also stuffed bags with a various amount of needed classroom materials that will help get our students through the remainder of the year as we continue to work from home. It wasn’t the KSA’s usual extravaganza that has been held in the past, but we made it work during this Covid-19 pandemic and our families submitted pictures of the wonderfully decorated pumpkins.
Thank you to the REA for your generous support
