Pension & Retirement

Pension & Retirement

All contractual employees of the district must be enrolled in one of two state retirement systems – certified staff are members of the Teachers’ Pension and Annuity Fund, and non-certified staff are members of the Public Employees Retirement System. Members of both funds contribute 6.64% of their salaries for these benefits. Under certain circumstances, per-diem substitutes may be enrolled in the Public Employees Retirement System.

Membership handbooks for both of these retirement systems are posted below, and employees are encouraged to review the contents to become familiar with these valuable retirement benefits. Enrollment in the Member Benefits Online System (MBOS) is highly recommended.

The Division of Pensions and Benefits also maintains an Online Guide to Retirement. Read more.

All employees of the district are eligible to enroll in 403b and 457b supplemental retirement systems offered by district approved vendors. Vendors should be contacted directly for additional information
