A Message From the Principal
It is with great honor that I welcome you to the 2020-2021 school year and introduce myself to you as the new Principal of Abraham Clark High School. I would like to also introduce to your our new Vice Principals, Ms. Patrizia Weber and Mr. Andrey Green. While they are not new to the district, they are new to the
Administrative Team at ACHS, and I am delighted to work with them. Please know that as we begin the new year, we are excited and ready to serve as we pick up the torch and continue to lead ACHS through these challenging times and make preparations for the awesome task of providing quality teaching and learning experiences, as well as excellent services, for our students. Due to the current status of the COVID-19 health pandemic in our state, we find ourselves having to continue where we left off at the closing of last school year and begin a new school year with virtual learning; yet, I am confident that we will prevail as our collective strength and determination will surely lead us to victory, and I look forward to listening to your ideas for our school as we gear up to make wonderful progress with teaching and learning.
I come to you with over 25 years of experience in education. My past successes with improving student performance and program implementation have prepared me to fill this new leadership role as Principal of ACHS, and I look forward to collaborating with students, parents, teachers, custodians, nurses, support staff, and the community to ensure that we are working cohesively and efficiently in providing the best educational experience possible for our students.
I believe that fostering relationships with all stakeholders is essential to promoting a positive learning community and building trust which provides the best opportunity to enhance student engagement and foster collaboration among all stakeholders. Every decision that I make will be rooted in successful outcomes for our students and the ACHS community. I believe in setting high standards for students and settling for nothing less than their absolute best. I further believe that the educators and adults within the school community must also commit to high standards to ensure growth and success for our students. We encourage our parents and guardians to be involved and look forward to supporting you as you join us in our mission of educating our students. My goals will be based on the district’s mission statement and vision and will be implemented through an outcome driven model that identifies four collective pillars of success through the initiation of what I call “The GRAD Factor” (Growth, Relationship, Accountability, and Determination). These four pillars of success are designed to give our students a strong foundation geared towards cultivating them into successful and productive members of society who are college and career ready. It is an all-inclusive approach, involving all stakeholders, and embedded in research-based practices and pedagogical science. I am mindful that this is a collective task and invite each of you to join me in this endeavor.
In closing, please know that I am energized and honored to be joining the ACHS community. I pledge my full support to each of you and will work tirelessly to lead the ACHS community in our quest to foster academic excellence. Together, we will engage in a partnership that will be critical and essential for providing our students with the academic foundation needed to be successful. As I settle into my new role, there will be more information forthcoming; and, I am eager to communicate with you all as we embark upon this new school year which I am sure will be filled with great success. Please be well and continue to practice social distancing and other safety protocols.
