I hope you’re feeling re-energized and ready to embrace our school’s ongoing transformation. Our mission is to equip every scholar with the skills needed to excel in the 21st century, preparing them for college, career, and life.
Our focus this year is on enhancing teaching and learning through innovative practices. We are dedicated to providing the tools and support necessary for students to achieve individual success and take ownership of their learning journey. We are excited to continue our experience with Verizon Innovative Learning Schools (VILS) one-to-one devices, Canvas, and Smartpass, and to expand our course offerings to emphasize pathways aligned with our vision of leadership and equity.
At ACHS, quality instruction and effective intervention are paramount to our success. We have made significant strides in improving student performance through enhanced instruction and assessment practices. This year, we will continue to offer classroom and school-based intervention strategies and support services to ensure every student has the resources they need to grow.
Attendance is another critical area of focus. We understand that consistent attendance is essential for students to reach their full potential. We are committed to uniting families, programs, resources, and the community to address this challenge. Your support in promoting the importance of regular attendance is crucial to our students’ success both in school and in life.
ACHS is deeply committed to fostering an environment that prioritizes Social Emotional Learning (SEL). Our goal is to create a safe and connected environment for both students and staff. We believe that collaboration among the school, community, and all stakeholders is key to our success. We encourage all staff members to actively engage with students and parents to cultivate an environment where success is achievable.
Our Core Values are: Academic Excellence, Accountability, Digital Citizenship, Integrity, Leadership, and Respect. These values guide our actions and decisions, and we strive to instill them in every aspect of our school community.
